THE KINGTONE DUET
Six huge, organic and incredibly playable guitar tones
The KingTone DUET is a passive tone-shaping system for guitars with two pickups and two volume controls, such as a Les Paul, SG or ES-335.
It replaces one of your guitar’s tone controls with a six-position KingTone switch. Inside, two independent circuits shape the neck and bridge pickups separately, so every position sounds balanced and musical across the whole guitar.
The remaining tone control can be wired as a master tone.
What does it do?
The DUET gives your guitar six unique voices, ranging from clear, detailed and focused to fat, huge, edgy, hollow and dark.
These are not simply brighter or darker versions of the same sound. Each position changes the feel, response and character of the guitar, helping notes sound fuller, bends feel more expressive and vibrato track more clearly.
It can smooth a harsh bridge pickup, add definition to a muddy neck pickup and help your guitar sit perfectly with different amps, pedals and playing styles.

Designed for dual-volume guitars
Guitars with two independent volume controls need separate tone-shaping circuits for each pickup.
The DUET contains two independent KingTone circuits controlled by a single six-position switch. This allows both pickups to receive the correct tone shaping while both volume controls continue to work normally.
Installation
The DUET replaces one tone control and uses a compact three-wire-per-circuit design. The remaining tone control can be converted into a master tone.
Knurled split shafts are included for standard push-on knobs. Knobs are not included.
Works with passive humbuckers and single-coil pickups. Not recommended for active pickups.
The KingTone DUET does not make your guitar sound artificial or processed. It gives you six organic, inspiring and immediately useful ways to hear and play the guitar you already love.
